Nema Scholar from Guludo Tops School

files/amisse.jpg

Amisse Assane, 17, from Guludo village, was in the first group of students to go to Secondary School with a Nema Scholarship in January 2007. Everyone involved with Nema were delighted to receive a letter from the school explaining that Amisse was not only the top student but that his behaviour and attitude have been impecible throughout the past 3 years. Amisse would like to be a civil engineer and hopes to go to university in 2012 after completing the last two years of secondary school.

Nema offers academic and vocational scholarships for students completing primary school whose family's cannot afford further education for them. In 2009 there were 79 scholars and we are currently fundraising to send more students in 2010. A one year scholarship costs $120. If you are interested in sponsoring a student please contact Amy.
