This year the rains never seemed to arrive and for communities that rely entirely on subsistence living this has caused SEVERE FOOD SHORTAGES in all of the 12 villages where we work.
Nema has been extremely successful in delivering life saving projects to many of these villages but we desperately want to roll these projects out at a faster rate than our funds allow to help more and more families in these desperate times.
Please remember that 100% of all donations go directly on projects and even a very small amount goes a long, long way. For example it only costs $15 to run a nutrition workshop which will teach mothers how to make a life-saving porridge for their children from locally found ingredients.
If you are able to make a donation, however small, you can make a donation online through our fundraising page on the Global Angels website at http://www.globalangels.org/fundraiser/Guludo/. Or, if you want to be more practical in your giving then we are looking for volunteers to help with the Buggy Fun Run in Battersea Park in September.
Thank you so much.
