Wow, what a week! Global Angels, Nema's biggest supporters, sent the extremely talented film-maker Rohan Tully to Guludo to film Nema's community projects.
It was an action-packed week visiting various villages showing our current projects as well as talking about our plans for the future. The film will include the following Nema projects:
- School Feeding: providing school children with a nutritious school meal every school day
- Water: repairing existing water points, building new points and improving the safety of water
- Malaria: running workshops and distributing mosquito nets
- Nutrition: teaching mothers about the nutritional value of food and how to make a life-saving porridge
- HIV: drama performances and workshops
- School Farm: growing crops to be sold to supplement the school meals and teach improved agriculture techniques
- Primary School construction: building primary school(s)
- Hygiene and Sanitation: workshops explaining how to stop the spread of diseases and treat diarrhoea
Rohan also flimed around the lodge and will be creating a short film about Guludo. The films should be online very soon!
An ENORMOUS thank you to Global Angels for thier incredible ongoing support and also to Rohan for giving up such a huge amount of his time to both film and edit the films.
