Guludo founders, Neal and Amy Carter-James, went to Singapore to take part in the Conde Nast Traveler "World Savers Congress 2010" as well as collect our TWO World Savers Awards.
The World Savers Congress pulled together tourism leaders from around the globe who both passionately and successfully are helping to clean up the tourism industry and realise it's potential to do good. The event kicked off at the incredible Marina Bay Sky Park with spectacular views over Singapore and the scene was perfectly set for the heady heights of the conference to come.
The following day, after inspiring talks by Louie Psihoyos, director of the oscar winning The Cove, and Willie Smits, the awards were given out by none other than CTU Agent Tony Ameida from 24 (aka Carlos Bernard). Next were a series of dynamic panel discussions, the second of which was on "Good Economics, Spreading the Wealth" where Amy gave numerous examples from Guludo in support of the argument that a business can bring benefits on a large scale and be successful .
We were incredibly proud to represent Guludo and our sister company Thin Cats Thinking and owe Conde Nast Traveler a huge thank you for putting on such a fantastic event.
