How to Help

Nema has achieved a phenomenal amount in a relatively short time which is entirely down to the support we have received from past guests, friends and family.

Here are some ways you can help us develop and expand our work to reach more communities.

Coming to Guludo? What you can bring to help...
All gifts are extremely gratefully received and we always make sure they are distributed fairly and responsibly through Nema.  Some suggested donations are: Portuguese to English dictionaries, Children books for the new library and primary school (English or Portuguese), Children’s football kits, footballs, pumps and bibs (we are shortly starting a football/HIV school project).

Run an event
To be honest, the best way you could help is to raise money to help Nema continue it's work in the Guludo area. Our friends at Global Angels have set up a fundraising section of thier website which allows you to set up a page for your own event. For more information about running an event please contact us

We are currently urgently trying to raise funds for the following projects:

•    School feeding project: Feed a child for a year                  $70
•    Hygiene & Sanitation: A latrine for a household                 $15

If you are able to make a donation please follow this link to a Nema Fundraising Page on the Global Angels website.

Buy a Nema Ring
DS Dundee are supporting Nema by selling beautiful palm-woven rings made in Guludo by the craft group.

Our Promise to Donors
100% of donations go directly to our projects on the ground in Northern Mozambique. We ensure each and every penny donated to Nema stretches as far as it possibly can to realise our objective of relieving poverty and protecting fragile environments.
