Nema uses the following strategies in its planning and implementation of projects aims to

1. Tackle all roots of poverty working in; Health, Water, Education, Enterprise and Environment,

2. Be run by members of the community creating community ownership,

3. Predominantly focus on women, the primary caretakers of children,

4. Work with local government while following and supporting national policies,

5. Always have a strong emphasis on research and monitoring, helping to ensure maximum success.
