Whether a player or spectator, a "Guludo Village" vs. "Guludo Staff and Guests" football match is an experience not to be missed.
What better way to break down barriers than through the beautiftul game?
Whenever guests are keen to play football the staff need no encouragement to organise a friendly football game in the village. Neal, co-founder and ex-pro-footballer, regularly trains (and sometimes plays for) the Guludo football team. With half the Guludo squad working at the lodge, the matches are always very even and penalty shootouts are a common occurance... definately something not to be missed!!!
The games are also fun to watch as the whole village generally turns up, including the craft groups displaying their products. It is a wonderful chance for the WAGs (wives and girlfriends) to spend time with the local WAGs and children. It may not be England vs. Germany at Wembley but it is always a spectacle!
Childrens' games are also often arranged, both for girls and boys, which the enthusiastic local primary school help to organise with the lodge.
