The Guludo team really have outdone themselves!
Claire Bennison came to stay in Guludo not long after we first opened our doors; kindly obliging to help us develop our cocktail menu!

We’re proud to announce that Nema's "Guludo village Day of the Condom" was a resounding success. To be honest we couldn’t have really failed with the line up we had on show.
We have a new computer whizz kid at Guludo! A rare specimen in an area that lacks any electricity within a 45km radius one may correctly presume.

Schools reopened in January 2011, and we are thrilled to announce that Nema is now supporting 127 children with secondary school scholarships.

Amina Suale and her family of five live in Lumuamua, a poor and remote rural village along the coast of Northern Mozambique, not far from Guludo.

Amisse Assane, 17, from Guludo village, was in the first group of students to go to Secondary School with a Nema Scholarship in January 2007.
A year ago when Claire told us she wanted to swim the Channel to raise money for both Nema and an MS charity; we were absolutely elated. However, as she described just what it entailed;

Past guests at Guludo, Laura and Toby (aged 10), have just cycled a gruelling 190 miles, from London to Wales to raise money for Nema. Incredible!

This year the rains never seemed to arrive and for communities that rely entirely on subsistence living this has caused SEVERE FOOD SHORTAGES in all of the 12 villages where we work

On the 15th September Nema Trustee Laura Tenison, CEO of Jojo Mamam Bebe, is holding a "Buggy Fun Run" to raise MUCH needed funds for Nema.
