On the 25th April 2019, Cyclone Kenneth directly hit the lodge and communities we have been working with since 2002. All 16 villages, and the lodge itself, are completely destroyed; over 70 people have lost their lives and 36,000 people have no homes, schools or medical facilities. We will not rest until each school is rebuilt, a new hospital is open and our communities no longer need our support.
Help us show unity and support our efforts to rebuild the homes of the most vulnerable victims. With a local team, an army of community volunteers to mobilise, our charity, Nema, is the best placed NGO to have a real impact on the ground to rebuild our communities sufferings so much right now.
